Košice Airport has become part of an exciting new chapter in its flight offerings with the addition of a new Ryanair flight to the popular destination for many Slovaks – Zadar, Croatia. This new route will serve passengers from June 2 until the end of September, providing an ideal opportunity for summer holidays by the sea. The flight will operate twice a week, on Wednesdays and Sundays, with a flight time of approximately 90 minutes.
Since 2019, when Ryanair began operating at Košice Airport, we have witnessed their continuous growth and success. We are even more delighted to celebrate a significant milestone this Monday – half a million passengers who have used Ryanair’s services from Košice Airport. Ryanair, as the largest airline in Europe, comes with a summer schedule that includes flights to Dublin, London, Liverpool, Prague, and now to the dazzling Zadar.
Košice Airport recorded a record number of over 625,000 passengers last year, surpassing the previous historical maximum. The beginning of this year indicated that this trend is continuing – in January and February, nearly 64,000 passengers were handled, representing an 11% increase compared to the same period last year. With the upcoming summer season and the arrival of the new flight route, we anticipate further growth and success.
Košice Airport is the gateway to the world for travelers from Eastern Slovakia, and we are proud to offer even more options for their travel plans. We look forward to the coming months and to continuing to fulfill travel dreams together with you and Ryanair.
